Since 1994, Dr. David J. Nota has dedicated himself to keeping his motto "Old Fashioned service... Latest Technology". He and his staff have worked hard to create a warm, caring atmosphere for their patients while taking seriously their role in your overall eye health.

The comprehensive scope of San Clemente Optometry includes thorough eye exams, over 600 frames to choose from, full spectrum of contact lens care, comprehensive Laser care, vision therapy (for those with functional and perceptual insufficiencies), an on-site lab, & a full time licensed optician to consult with about your individual needs.

Dr. David J. Nota was born and raised in Southern California. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree after four years of post-graduate academics and clinical studies at Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Since 1994, he has been practicing in San Clemente where he takes great pride in his detailed, comprehensive eye examinations. His National Certification in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases and Glaucoma have served him well in making the in-depth health portion of the exam a priority for his patients. His quiet and thoughtful presence as well as his integrity is pervasive throughout the office and in the service he provides.

He resides in San Clemente with his wife and two daughters. They are active in their community and their local church. Dr. Nota works with the Boys and Girls Club of the South coast Area as well as the annual local Kids Care Fair to help identify children with undiagnosed eye care needs and direct them accordingly. He is one of the providing doctors of the Site For Students program that provides free eye exams and glasses, where needed, to qualified low-income children.
